Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Tapping in Faith collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. Tapping in Faith is accessible at tappinginfaith.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

We take privacy seriously. Your spiritual and emotional life is not a product. We never sell your data, and we never share which sessions or categories you use, or the ratings you log, for advertising. We do use advertising and analytics measurement tools that receive limited signals, such as when an account or subscription is created. See Sections 1 and 4.

Section 1What We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: First name, last name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account.
  • Subscription and billing information: If you subscribe to premium, we store your subscription status, plan (monthly or annual), trial and billing-period dates, and a customer/subscription reference from our payment processor (Stripe). We never receive or store your card number. See Section 2.
  • Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message content when you use our contact form.

Information generated by your use of the app

  • Session activity: Which sessions you have played, completion status, and intensity ratings (0–10) you log before and after sessions.
  • Favorites: Sessions and Daily Word entries you have saved as favorites.
  • Guide and avatar preferences: Your selected narrator voice and avatar, stored as account settings.
  • Daily Word and scripture interactions: Which entries you have accessed.

Information collected automatically

  • Log data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. Logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging purposes.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: We use analytics and advertising measurement tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, that collect activity such as pages visited and standard events like account creation and subscription. These tools set their own cookies and identifiers. We do not send them the title or content of any session, category, or Daily Word entry, or your intensity ratings. What you tap on and how you engage spiritually is never part of what these tools receive.
  • Advertising and device identifiers: With your permission, we collect your device's advertising identifier and limited information about how you found and use the app. We use this to measure our advertising and to reach people who may benefit from Tapping in Faith. On iOS, you are asked before any of this is collected, and you can change your answer at any time in your device settings. If you decline, we do not collect it.
  • Cookies and session tokens: We use a session cookie to keep you logged in.

Section 2Payments — What We Do and Do Not Collect

Payments for premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a third-party PCI-compliant payment processor. When you subscribe, you enter your card details directly into Stripe’s secure checkout, not into Tapping in Faith.

  • Stripe receives and handles your card number and payment details, and the billing information you enter at checkout. Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy and also acts as our processor for charging your subscription.
  • We store only your subscription status, plan, trial and renewal dates, and the Stripe customer/subscription reference IDs needed to manage your subscription. We never store your full card number, CVC, or complete payment details.

We do not collect precise location data, and we do not access your microphone or camera. As described in Section 1, our analytics and advertising tools set their own cookies and identifiers under their own policies; we do not receive your session content, category browsing, or ratings through them. We do not use your session content, intensity ratings, or spiritual activity to train AI models.

Section 3How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide and improve the app and its content
  • maintain your account, subscription, and preferences
  • process your subscription payments, renewals, and refunds (through Stripe)
  • send transactional and billing-related emails (account creation, password reset, and, via Stripe, payment receipts, failed-payment/dunning notices, and renewal or trial-related notifications)
  • respond to contact form submissions
  • prevent fraud and monitor for security issues and abuse (Stripe performs payment fraud screening as part of processing)
  • understand usage patterns to improve the product
  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and reach new people who may benefit from the app

We never sell your personal information. We never use your session activity, intensity ratings, favorites, or anything relating to your spiritual or emotional life for advertising of any kind.

Section 4How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Aside from the advertising and analytics measurement described below, we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Payment processor (Stripe): We share the information needed to create and manage your subscription, your email and a subscription reference, with Stripe, which processes your card payments, renewals, refunds, and payment-related fraud screening. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never see or store them.
  • Other service providers: We use third-party services to send transactional emails on our behalf. These providers process your data under their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • Analytics and advertising partners: We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure site usage and the performance of our advertising. These tools never receive the title or content of any session, category, or Daily Word entry, your intensity ratings, or any signal describing what you tapped on or engaged with spiritually. What they do receive is limited to standard web activity (such as page views) and a small set of conversion events (account creation, checkout, and trial start), which may set cookies and help us show relevant ads. To limit ad tracking, use your Meta ad-preference settings and your browser or device privacy controls.
  • Advertising partners: With your permission, we share limited advertising and device identifier data with advertising platforms such as Meta, so we can measure our advertising and reach new people. We never share your session activity, intensity ratings, favorites, Daily Word activity, or any content relating to your spiritual or emotional life.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfer: If tappinginfaith.com is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and your rights at that time.

Section 5Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers we control. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Section 6Data Retention

We retain your account information and session data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes. Certain billing and transaction records may be retained by our payment processor as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance.

Section 7Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate information in your account (via the Settings page)
  • manage your subscription — view your plan and cancel or update your payment card at any time from the Billing page in your account settings
  • delete your account and associated data by contacting us
  • opt out of non-essential emails (note: some account-related and billing-related emails, such as password resets and payment receipts, cannot be disabled)
  • Change your tracking choice at any time. On iOS, go to Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Declining does not limit any feature of the app.

If you are a resident of California, the European Union, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Section 8Children's Privacy

Tapping in Faith is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Section 9Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
